NEW COVID PROTOCOL

To our Valued Pet Parents:

First of all, we want to thank you for your patience and understanding the past couple of months that we had to return to our Curbside Concierge service as we navigated through the surge in Covid cases in our area. It was so important for us to keep your families as well as our staff as safe as possible. We certainly have missed the in-person interaction and we are pleased to announce that we will no longer require Curbside Concierge service for your pet(s) appointments effective January 26, 2022! However, there are a few key points we would like to convey regarding re-opening for in-clinic appointments:

When you arrive for your appointment, kindly call us at 631-271-8383 to check in. At this point we will discuss with you whether or not you would like to come in with your pet. We welcome pet owners to wait in our waiting room or their car whatever makes them and their pet(s) most comfortable. If you would prefer to wait in your car once an exam room is available, one of our technician’s will call you to discuss the reason for your pet’s visit and take a brief history for the doctor and then instruct you when to come into the building with your pet.

Curbside Concierge appointments are still available should you wish to remain in your car rather than come into our hospital. We understand not everyone may be comfortable coming into the hospital. We offer Facetime for these appointments as well.

Pet drop offs and pickups for procedures, surgeries and boarding as well as medication and food pickups can be accommodated in our waiting room. There is no need to call, you can just come in.

Our goal is to make this transition as easy as possible for you and your furry family members. We are excited to be able to go back to a somewhat normal experience for you and your pets when you visit our practice! As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at 631-271-8383.

Thank you for entrusting us with the care of your furry friends! Stay safe everyone!

Sincerely,

The Doctors and Staff at Dix Hills Animal Hospital
